MUD Ceramics Club is a membership-based pottery studio opened by Alana Rae McDowell in 2023 as “a place to have fun and get muddy.”

As a freelance copywriter, I worked with Alana to develop a playful yet professional tone of voice for the studio. I used this voice to communicate all the content on her website while optimizing it for search engine discoverability.

I also created a style guide for future updates and communications to ensure MUD’s tone of voice and offering descriptions were used consistently across all pages and platforms.

Finally, I used my technical writing background to produce a comprehensive and easy-to-navigate 23-page member guidebook.
